SPAIN PRACTICAL WORK CHAMPIONSHIP
There are many sports modalities in which the handler competes with his dog: Agility, IPO, Canicross, Mushing, Mondioring…
The French Ring is one of these modalities. An exercise that combines agility, tracking, obedience and defense. In Lodosa we were able to see this discipline first hand and see how spectacular its regulations are. As if that were not enough, this is a modality that is practiced in natural environments, outdoors, which provides a freshness and closeness, an emotion that is difficult to compare to other regulations. It is not better or worse, but it is different.
For us, who were completely unaware of this sport, it was a revelation. A noble discipline that, well understood and practiced, is one more way to create bonds with our dogs. It is practiced above all by athletic, powerful and obedient dogs such as the Belgian Malinois and the German Shepherd, although breeds such as the Border Collie, Schnauzer, Beauceron or the Bouvier de Flanders are also seen.
In short, one more experience from which we learned and which we consider any sports fan with a dog should live it. We leave you below a video summary of what we could see there.
